As per the daily price revision mechanism, petrol and diesel prices were revised today, 16th August 2022, at 6:00 am.

The soaring global crude oil prices and a depreciating rupee pushed the price of petrol in Delhi to an all-time high of Rs. 96.41 per litre today. This new record price stems from a 40 paise increase in petrol rates across the National Capital, as compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, diesel prices in Delhi have climbed by 35 paise, setting a new high at Rs 89.90 per litre.

The announcement of these latest prices figures comes after yesterday's hike saw both petrol and diesel prices cross the Rs 89 and Rs 81 thresholds respectively in Mumbai.
