Telugu, a reflection of Indian culture and pride, will be celebrated in Nellore this year through a language festival. The festival will honor Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu, the father of colloquial Telugu, from August 29 to 31 at the Nellore Town Hall. The event is being organized by the Seva Sahiti Cultural Organization with the support of the AL Creative and Cultural Commission, and former vice president M Venkaiah Naidu is expected to attend.
The festival will include seminars, discussions, and literary forums covering ancient literature, modern literature, children's literature, existential literature, youth literature, and women's literature. Additionally, there will be poetry gatherings, paper presentations, and book releases.
Expected to gather more than 150 Telugu writers and linguists from both Telugu-speaking states and other regions, the event is supported by Shanta Vasantha Trust and organized by Seva Sahiti Cultural Organization president Kancherla Subbanayudu, Dr. Konidala Shobha, Bora Bharati Devi, and Arasam Nellore honorary president and international poet Dr Perugu Ramakrishna.
Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy emphasized that Telugu is not just a medium of communication but a source of pride, affection, and a shining reflection of Indian culture.
Through this festival, Telugu language and literature will be celebrated and elevated as a crucial component of both Indian culture and pride.
