Deepak Bhandari denies allegations, alleges NCB vendetta in live social media statement

Pharmaceutical entrepreneur Deepak Bhandari, a partner in Ballista Pharmaceuticals currently under investigation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), went live on social media to address allegations against him and the company.

Bhandari, who is also a journalist with a web channel, denied all accusations of illegal activity on the part of himself or his family, emphasizing that neither of them were drug peddlers. He further defended the doctors named in the case, asserting that they are reputable medical professionals who are not involved in any illegal drug trade.

The NCB recently registered a case against Ballista Pharmaceuticals and associated doctors for allegedly selling narcotic drugs illegally. Bhandari's partner, Amit Bhandari, was arrested and is currently in NCB custody.

Deepak Bhandari has accused Sukhdeep Singh, Drugs Control Officer (DCO), of plotting the case as revenge for previous journalistic work against the officer. He claims that the case is a deliberate attempt to silence him and defame his family and friends.

Bhandari claims that his company has a valid license for the purchase and supply of Tramadol, and that every tablet sold by Ballista Pharmaceuticals is accounted for through proper billing, exclusively to hospitals and registered medical practitioners.

He further alleged that Sukhdeep Singh previously faced an attack attempt by Deepak Bhandari in association with DSP Vavinder Mahajan, which the CBI investigated and found no wrongdoing. Singh alleged that Bhandari is now attempting to intimidate him again.

In response to Bhandari's live statement, Sukhdeep Singh released a new statement, inviting a fresh audit by a different set of officers to address any concerns.

"If Deepak Bhandari has any issues with the inspection report, I welcome a fresh audit by a different set of officers," he said.

Despite the ongoing investigation, Bhandari has stated that his legal team will handle all legal matters strictly through proper judicial procedures.

"I went live only to state my side of the story," he said.

The case remains under investigation.
