If you missed the recent lunar extravaganza, don't fretthe next one's just around the corner!
Missed the recent Blood Moon? Well, fret not, Indian skygazers, as the next lunar eclipse is just around the corner. After the spectacularly long duration of the recent lunar eclipse on September 7, which was visible from most parts of the globe, including India, the next lunar extravaganza is scheduled to take place on November 8, 2022. This time, the eclipse will be visible only in East Asia and the Americas, with partial visibility in Europe and Africa.
However, this doesn't mean that India will miss out on all the action altogether. India will witness a partial eclipse, with around 3-4% of the lunar eclipse visible from the country's western region, according to astrophysicist Dr. Rajendran Venkatraman.
The upcoming eclipse will be a South Node eclipse, which occurs when the Moon passes through the southern part of the Earth's shadow, resulting in a red-colored Moon, often referred to as a "Blood Moon." Such an alignment is usually associated with a release, letting go, or surrender, according to Chakra Healing.
Although November's eclipse will be less visible from India compared to September's, it will still be an intriguing phenomenon for astronomers and skywatchers in the region. So, mark your calendars for November 8, 2022, and get ready to witness the celestial spectacle of the next Blood Moon!
