South India's First Private Forensic Lab Achieves NABL Accreditation

Cyber forensic startup Alibi Globale Private Limited, backed by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), has become the first private forensic lab in south India to receive accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). Despite only operating for two years, the company's cyber forensic lab possesses acclaimed forensic software and hardware tools to aid law enforcement agencies and private clients in acquiring evidence from various digital sources. Led by Dr. Sunil SP, the 95% female tech team adheres to NABL's stringent policies and guidelines. The lab's director Bhadran V K has stated that the company hopes to expand globally and become a center of excellence in cyber forensics.

The KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state. NABL-accredited laboratories' reports are accepted internationally and are highly credible in legal proceedings. Chairman and Managing Director Gandhimathi Balan expressed her pride in the team's international recognition, paving the way for expansion into other domains within the cyber forensic industry.

This news is a testament to the increasing prominence of cyber forensic expertise in investigating crimes in the digital domain, which has become integral to many industries and domains, and it underscores the importance of reliable, accredited labs in addressing the increasingly sophisticated digital forensic requirements of industries and law enforcement agencies.
