This will significantly reduce the time between incident and investigation, as evidence collection and preliminary tests will be possible immediately. Each vehicle will be able to cover multiple districts, with the initial deployment focusing on Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora, and Srinagar. The state has received a budget of Rs 3.92 crore from the central government specifically for these vehicles.

This is a significant step towards streamlining and improving the criminal investigation process in the state of Uttarakhand. This initiative will help reinforce the state's crime detection capabilities and strengthen law and order.
