Fast-bowling great Waqar Younis is one of many cricket legends lauding the impressive skills of pace-bowling prodigy Mohammed Shami, who is currently leading India's attack in the ongoing Test series against England.

Since making his international debut for India in January 2016 against Australia in Sydney, Bumrah has picked up 457 wickets in 207 matches played across formats.

He also has 120 wickets in 24 Tests. This places him joint third on the list of fastest Test bowlers to reach 100 wickets.

"He's just a champion, a phenom," Younar concluded. "I hope he stays fit and goes on to become the best fast bowler in the history of the game."
