Kim Jong Un's Soldiery Confirmed in Ukraine, Belarussian President Reveals

Lukashenko blasts North Korean involvement in Ukraine as "imbecilic"

Kim Jong Un's troops were involved in the Ukraine war via Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko has revealed. In an extraordinary revelation, the Belarussian president confirmed that cargo planes from North Korea flew into Belarus carrying "soldiers and military equipment" in the weeks before the Russian invasion began on February 24. Lukashenko described the move as "imbecilic" and claimed that he was unaware of the deal made between Moscow and Pyongyang.

This bold admission could lead to more sanctions being levied against Kim Jong Un's regime, as North Korea's involvement in foreign wars circumvents its image as a sovereign state.

North Korea has since denied Lukashenko's claims, stating that they are intended to divert attention from the "internal crisis in Belarus." Nevertheless, the country has faced increasing isolation amid its brutal crackdown on dissent in the wake of Lukashenko's disputed 2020 re-election.

Meanwhile, North Korea has slammed a major joint exercise planned by the South Korean and US militaries as "direct military provocation." Pyongyang warned of resolute counteraction posture to defend national security against the large-scale 11-day drills. The exercise is slated to begin on August 18, testing command control and troop mobilization under an upgraded security strategy.

While the move aims to bolster South Korea's defense in the face of potential aggression from the North, Pyongyang routinely denounces military drills by the South and the US. Previous exercises have been described as "a rehearsal" for nuclear war.
