On Saturday, Srikalahasti Devasthanam conducted the ‘Swarnamukhi River Harathi,’ modeled after the famous ‘Ganga Aarti,’ at Srikalahasti. The ritual featured a procession of the Swarnamukhi river goddess idol from the temple to the river, where devotees offered prayers, flowers, and food items. The temple and riverside were filled with devotees gathered for the ‘Harathulu Mahotsavam.’ A laser light show, organized as part of the celebrations, was a major highlight. Thousands of devotees participated, chanting Lord Shiva’s name, lighting oil wick lamps on the riverbank, and paying their respects to the river goddess. Srikalahasti Devasthanam will conclude the auspicious ‘Karthika Masam’ on December 1 (Sunday), which also coincides with ‘Masa Shivaratri.’ Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Venkata Sudhir Reddy and Devasthanam Executive Officer T. Bapireddy attended the event.
