Anna Prasadam of Andhra's Srikalahasti temple awarded ISO certificate

The renowned Sri Kalahastheeswara Swamy temple in Srikalahasti has been awarded the ISO Certificate of International Standards for Quality and Cleanliness for the Anna Prasadam it serves to devotees. The ISO certificate was presented to the temple’s Executive Officer, D. Peddiraju, by Sivaiah, the spokesperson of HYM, and Srikalahasti MLA B. Madhusudhan Reddy on Sunday evening. HYM is a globally recognized organization that offers certification, auditing, training, inspection, testing, and conformity assessment services to help organizations meet national and international standards, enhancing customer satisfaction and public trust.


Sivaiah mentioned that they gathered feedback from devotees before awarding the ISO certificate for Anna Prasadam. The temple, situated along the Swarnamukhi river, attracts numerous devotees from Andhra Pradesh, as well as neighboring Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It serves Anna Prasadam daily from 11 am to 3 pm, providing free meals to around 1,600-2,000 devotees in six batches. The meals include rice, sambar, rasam, curry, curd, chutney, and pongal, with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene in both the kitchen and dining areas. EO Peddiraju emphasized that the temple administration has worked hard to maintain high hygiene standards. MLA Madhusudhan Reddy expressed pride in the achievement and assured that efforts would continue to improve amenities for devotees visiting the temple.
