Chief Minister emphasises empowerment through cooperative banks

Namakkal District Central Cooperative Bank, which has been supporting the local rural economy, has received a new building. The new bank building was constructed at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore. The previous building was in bad condition, and the Bank had been operating out of a rented premises for the previous 15 years.

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin, who inaugurated the new building on 21st December 2022, highlighted the importance of cooperative banks in the state. He emphasised that empowerment and inclusive growth of rural areas is possible through cooperative banks.

According to the Chief Minister, cooperative banks understand the needs of rural residents and can provide financial assistance to those who need it the most. He stated that his administration will encourage and strengthen the cooperative banking system.

Stalin expressed his wishes for the bank's continued success and assured the bank of the government's support.

The event ended with the chief guest, who handed out awards to distinguished members of the bank.
