TS Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked real estate builders and developers to ignore "politically motivated rumours" and continue with their ventures in the state. The CM asserted that despite changes in politics, Telangana has always avoided policy paralysis.
The state government is expecting a windfall with developers returning to the state after the recent municipal elections and the CM assuring them of stability despite political changes. Reddy urged builders to not give in to the "propaganda" that the government will not back their projects.
The CM's comments came at the backdrop of recent events where political turmoil impacted the state's political landscape. Reddy took over as the Chief Minister after the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) dissolved its parliament and pulled support from the state's coalition with the Indian National Congress Party (INC).
"We request investors to completely ignore such propaganda and continue with business and trading activities without giving any importance to such politically motivated rumours," an official statement quoted the CM as saying.
The latest remarks are likely to encourage builders and developers to initiate or restart projects in the state, which could lead to an economic boost for the state government and municipal bodies.
