CM Rekha Gupta calls herself 'mukhya sevika', vows to open Atal canteens

In her maiden Independence Day speech as Delhi Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta vowed to continue her governance legacy by implementing the Atal Canteen project. Gupta, who often refers to herself as the "mukhya sevika" or chief servant of the state, assured audiences that her government would provide dignified housing to all slum dwellers and claimed that her previous work in the healthcare sector would continue to positively impact the state. "I want to make sure that the infrastructure in Delhi is the best in the country. We will also ensure that all slum dwellers live with dignity, no matter where they are situated in Delhi," she said.

The Delhi Chief Minister also promised to provide world-class infrastructure to the state in addition to her previous commitments to resolving the water issue and ensuring Last Mile Delivery.

She concluded her speech by saying, "Our government is moving ahead with the resolve of facilitating the lives of each and every citizen of Delhi." Despite some criticism from opposition leaders, Rekha Gupta has big plans for the city, and only time will tell what impact these promises will have on the residents of Delhi.
