Coach 'Confident' of Benjamin Sesko's Debut vs Arsenal

Ruben Amorim has expressed confidence in FC Porto's Benjamin Sesko, stating that the soon-to-be Manchester United striker is "ready" for his debut in the upcoming curtain-raiser against Arsenal on Sunday. The Serbian-born Macedonian forward has impressed during his brief loan spell in Portugal.

Amorim, who worked with Sesko at Porto, believes the young striker has a bright future ahead of him. "I believe in him," the United manager said. "I worked with him daily at Porto and saw his incredible attitude inside the club."

Ruben went on to emphasize that he believes Sesko will be a key player for United in the years to come and that he is already adapting to the physicality of the English game.

The Red Devils snapped Sesko up for a whopping 15 million this summer. The enigmatic striker's prowess led Porto to win the Portuguese league and the Portuguese Super Cup. With his former club, the 22-year-old scored 11 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Despite competition for places upfront with the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Edison Cavani, Amorim believes Sesko will make the starting lineup on Sunday.

"I would not be confident if I did not think he was ready," the United manager added. "I think he is ready and I will play him."

Only time will tell if the young striker's prowess will shine through at Old Trafford. The game against Arsenal will be Manchester United's first match of the season, providing Sesko with a golden opportunity to make a strong first impression and cement his place in the squad.
