Hyderabad Polices Ready for Ashada Bonalu Festival

With the occasion of Ashada Bonalu of Sri Golkonda Jagadamba Mahankali Ammavari just around the corner, Hyderabad City police commissioner CV Anand has assured the public of maximum safety with proactive policing efforts. Anand visited the area, extending from the Langar House intersection to Golkonda Fort, and oversaw the arrangements personally.

Crime Police have set up comprehensive surveillance to curb pickpocketing and chain-snatching, while SHE Teams will be on the lookout for any instance of eve-teasing. On top of that, the officials instructed to ensure smooth operations and crowd management.

Ashada Bonalu is one of the biggest religious celebrations in Hyderabad, with an anticipated turnout of thousands of devotees. The festival will take place on the first Bonam day.

"We want to ensure that the event is incident-free and that devotees can peacefully worship and have a positive experience," said Vikram Singh Mann, Additional CP (Law and Order).

Other prominent police officials present at the event included D. Joel Davis, Joint CP (Traffic); K Apoorva Rao, DCP (Special Branch); D. Chandramohan, DCP (South West Zone); and Ande Srinivasa Rao, Additional DCP Task Force, among others.

"We have deployed extensive personnel and resources to ensure smooth operations and address any potential complications," said Anand.

"We want to make sure that this festival, which is of great religious significance to the locals, will be remembered as a safe and happy occasion," he added.
