A recent report has shed light on the most horrific incident that happened on the premises of a temple in Nagarkurnool district. The violation occurred only 200 meters away from the Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Urkondapeta village. This is where the victim, accompanied by her relative, went to pay her respects on Saturday and decided to spend the night there.
According to the police, the victim, who was 30 years old, stepped out of the temple premises at midnight to urinate. It was then that the perpetrators allegedly raped her, even though the victim's relative tried to stop them. To prevent the relative from intervening, the suspects tied them to a tree. The police have identified seven suspects and are currently investigating the matter.
This heinous crime serves as a harsh reminder of the need for increased safety measures and awareness programs for women. It is crucial to provide victims with the necessary support and bring the perpetrators of such despicable acts to justice.
This senseless act has shaken the community and raised questions about the safety of women, even in places that are meant for peace and worship.
