Tirupati, July 18: TDP MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy announced that the Andhra Pradesh government will soon launch an investigation into the irregularities reported at the renowned Srikalahasti temple during the last five years of the YSRCP regime. The government has already initiated a vigilance and enforcement probe into the irregularities at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams over the same period. Now, attention will shift to streamlining the administration of the Srikalahasti temple.
"Since the TDP-led NDA government assumed power in the state, we have already canceled several tenders issued during the YSRCP regime due to widespread corruption allegations," clarified the Srikalahasti MLA. Bojjala Sudheer further stated that devotees had raised numerous complaints regarding the disproportionate revenue amassed by corrupt officials at the Srikalahasti Devasthanams, which exceeded the temple’s actual revenue. Acting on these concerns, several employees and officials facing corruption charges have been transferred, and an internal inquiry has been initiated to determine further action against the culprits.
Reaffirming the TDP-led NDA government’s commitment to delivering world-class pilgrim services and preserving the sanctity of the ancient Srikalahasti shrine, Bojjala Sudheer assured a comprehensive investigation into the misappropriation and diversion of funds amounting to several hundred crores of rupees. He emphasized that the inquiry aims to restore devotees’ confidence in the temple administration.
