Intense Rainfall Causes Traffic Disruptions In Noida; IMD Forecasts Thunderstorms

Noida is reeling under the impact of intense rainfall and traffic disruptions. As per the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) forecast, several cities including Delhi, NCR, Kaithal, Panipat, and Muzaffarnagar will receive rain and thunderstorms in the next few hours.

The IMD alerted that rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected to occur in the NCR region, as a cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Rajasthan and neighboring areas of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Initially, the rainfall was expected to occur between 7th and 9th July 2023, but the disturbance may continue beyond the forecast period.

The administration has been directed to ensure necessary precautions and safety measures to avoid any unforeseen circumstances. People are urged to stay updated on weather forecasts and avoid venturing out if necessary, given the unpredictable weather conditions. The situation is being closely monitored and further updates will be provided accordingly.

It is advised that while driving, adhere to traffic rules and drive slow to avoid any accidents. Simultaneously, the meteorological department will continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary updates to the administration and the public.
