The Reuters/Ipsos survey found that two-thirds of Americans fear AI will permanently displace humans in jobs, and more than half (58%) fear AI will worsen income inequality. However, the poll also reveals that most Americans recognize the potential benefits of AI, with 71% convinced it will help solve complex problems in society, and 69% believing it will help streamline everyday tasks. "People are worried that AI will take their jobs, and perhaps their livelihoods," said Dan Keum, an expert on the impact of AI and author of the Keum Research report on the poll's findings. "But at the same time, they see potential positives."

While fears of job displacement are warranted, the benefits of AI-driven innovation are also undeniable.
