Tragic end to spurned love as woman's husband brutally murdered

A man in Bihar was murdered in a brutal fashion, his throat slit from ear to ear, allegedly at the hands of his sister-in-law and her husband in a tragic tale of spurned affection. Jaswant Singh's killing on August 17 has left his wife Sukhani in deep mourning and shocked the region of Hajipur.

The morning of August 17, Sukhani had invited her husband to accompany her to a field near the village of Raghopur, where she claimed she wanted to pick some vegetables. Having never previously shown any concerns about her behaviour, Jaswant agreed to accompany her, unaware that this would be their final encounter.

Having arrived at the field, Sukhani fled to a nearby hut, claiming to be feeling unwell. When Jaswant decided to head home, two men emerged from the hut and attacked him, viciously slicing his throat from ear to ear, before making their escape.

Jaswant's brother, Rajkumar, has accused Sukhani's brother-in-law, Sushil, and Sushil's wife of the heinous crime, reporting that Jaswant's affection for Sukhani had resulted in the pair developing an illicit relationship. Apparently, the pair had been secretly meeting for some time.

Sushil and his wife have fled, and authorities are searching for them. While they have not been officially implicated in the murder, Rajkumar insists they are the culprits. If caught, they will face charges.

Struggling to come to terms with the devastating loss, Sukhani mourns the love she once had for her husband, sharing that "He loved me so much. I will never be able to understand why they did this to him".
