A traffic cop in Telangana had a lucky escape after a speeding bike rammed into him while he was on duty checking vehicles. The incident, caught on camera, took place at the Mallannasagar tollgate in Medchal district on Tuesday.

The traffic constable, identified as Asif, can be seen standing in front of a toll collection booth, checking vehicles, when the speeding two-wheeler approaches. In a shocking sequence of events, the bike rams into the constable, who is thrown onto the vehicle's windshield. As the rider tries to control the vehicle, Asif hangs onto the windshield, causing the bike to crash into the toll booth.

Thankfully, Asif escaped with minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital after first-aid treatment. The rider, on the other hand, fled the scene. According to reports, the bike was reported stolen earlier this month.

The incident serves as a harsh reminder of the dangers faced by traffic police officers who work tirelessly to ensure public safety on the roads every day. It underscores the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules and harsher penalties for those who recklessly put lives at risk.
