Days after conducting a high-profile public rally in Bihar's capital Patna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his outreach efforts in the state, inaugurating a slew of development projects. Today's efforts included the opening of the Aunta-Simaria Bridge, a vital infrastructure link that will connect the state capital to the Bakhtiyarpur railway station, as well as a 13.61-kilometer stretch of the Kolkata Metro.

The Aunta-Simaria Bridge will reduce travel time and provide a crucial link between the two important transport hubs of Patna and Bakhtiyarpur, fostering commerce and industry in the region. Its completion is also notable as it was largely constructed by state-owned Bridge and Construction Corporation of India Limited (BBCL).

The Kolkata Metro expansion, on the other hand, will offer a faster, more environmentally friendly alternative for residents traveling from Noapara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar. This new route is expected to ease traffic on the busy Jessore Road and ultimately reduce congestion in the city.
