In a move to further incentivize the production of sand for the public, Andhra Pradesh intends to open four more sand reaches in Nellore, lowering prices to Rs 1,200 per load as directed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

State Minister Ponguru Narayana outlined plans to reduce transportation costs to between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 per load, a drastic reduction from previous rates of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000, by allowing accessible sand supply for the public.

To ensure the policy's effectiveness, the Minister instructed officials to promptly address any concerns and install CCTV cameras with live feeds in offices related to select authorities such as the Collector, SP, and Corporation.

Narayana warned that any unauthorized machinery would be seized and violators would face legal repercussions. TDP State General Secretary Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy and Commissioner Surya Teja were among the officials present at the inspection of reaches at Bhagath Singh Colony, Bodigadi Thota, Gandhi Girijan Colony, and Deendayal Nagar.
