Rising tensions and religious rallies over idolized land

In a bizarre turn of events in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, the emergence of a stone idol of a goddess has become a controversial topic with conflicting interests of religion and politics. The story took an unexpected turn when CPI(M) leaders attempted to intervene in what initially appeared to be a benign situation of a deity's idol being discovered. The situation now seems to be escalating with rising tensions and rallies over plans to construct a temple on the site.

The story began when workers accidentally discovered the idol while digging on private land. This unexpected finding led to a heartwarming display of faith as locals and visitors flocked to the site to pay their respects. Noticing the growing number of devotees, the BJP leaders proposed building a temporary temple on the same spot. However, the CPI(M) leaders strongly objected to the idea, claiming that the land had been allocated to their party earlier.

The disagreement turned into an ugly exchange of words and even involved the police when the situation escalated. It seems things have now reached a boiling point, as each side is fervently defending their position. Meanwhile, locals, especially women, pleaded with both parties to refrain from politicizing the issue and focus on allowing the construction of a temple to honor the goddess.

The situation remains unresolved for now, with the idol still resting on the spot it was discovered. The BJP claims that they are working to ensure that the sentiments of the devotees are not hurt and that they want to build a permanent temple for the deity. The local BJP chapter headed by Vamsidhar Reddy insisted that they would ensure the idol remains on the site until ASI officials conduct their investigations. The CPI(M) could not be reached for a comment.
