Amaravati: In a move to address the brewing rebellion of Nellore Rural MLA, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, YSRC president and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy named Nellore MP Adala Prabhakara Reddy as the constituency in-charge.

The decision came after a series of discussions with senior leaders, including state government advisor and party general secretary, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, and regional coordinator for Nellore district, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy. The CM also consulted district party affairs in-charge and Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakara Reddy before deciding on Adala Prabhakara Reddy.

Recently, the YSRC appointed the former chief minister Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy's son Ram Kumar Reddy as the in-charge of Venkatagiri constituency, replacing the sitting legislator and former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. TDP senior legislator Gorantla Buctchaiah Chowdary has warned the party leadership about the issue, saying it appears to be a covert operation to send YSRC men into TDP.
