Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Samiti simplifies permissions process

The Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Samiti in Nellore is simplifying the process to obtain permissions for this year's Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. Instead of applying separately for each permit, organizers can acquire all clearances through a single-window clearance system. This new initiative was inaugurated at the Shivaji Centre office, which will act as a central coordination hub to smooth out festivities across various local committees.

The Samiti is also advocating for festival organizers across the state. They've petitioned the Andhra Pradesh government, appealing to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to provide free electricity to support the celebrations.

This year, the five-day Vinayaka Chavithi festival will be celebrated from August 27 to 31, with the grand finale being a massive immersion procession on August 31 at Nellore Cheruvu (Tank) Ganesh Ghat and Ranganayakulapeta Penna Ghat.

The Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Samiti is also developing Ganesh Ghat at Nellore Tank into a major spiritual and cultural hub. With the support of officials and public representatives, they aim to make it a focal point for celebrations and spirituality.

Speaking at the inauguration of their new office, Samiti honorary president P. Satya Nageswara Rao said that they are working closely with various local committees to ensure seamless coordination for the festivities.

As the general secretary of the Samiti, Mandla Eshwarayya, said, under the former MP Gokaraju Gangaraju's leadership, the state-level Ganesh Utsav Samiti had already submitted a petition in Amaravati. The petition sought free power and necessary clearances for the celebrations, and the state government has since responded positively to their request.

This truly is a milestone in celebrating Indian culture and spirituality.
