Heightened Security Ahead of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's Nellore Visit

As former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy prepares to visit Nellore tomorrow, the local police has announced that it will provide Z+ category security during the visit, as well as implement a robust security protocol including six drones and 40 CCTV cameras to ensure the safety of the opposition leader. The YSRC president is scheduled to arrive at Chemudugunta helipad at 10:00 a.m. and thereafter meet former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy in Nellore Central Jail. He will then visit the residence of former MLA Prasanna Kumar Reddy in Nellore town.

Commenting on the visit, Nellore district in-charge SP A.R. Damodar said that no permissions had been given for public gatherings or rallies and warned that legal action would be taken against any individuals who violated this or engaged in provocative slogans, banners, or placards. He further added that measures were being taken to avoid traffic disruptions and that entry to the Nellore Central Jail was strictly limited to authorised personnel only.

Ahead of the visit, the police are checking vehicles, inspecting lodges, and monitoring check-posts. They have been directed to ensure access control and discipline as part of the heightened security measures.

Despite the tight security, SP Damodar has urged people to remain peaceful and not to give into any rumours or provocative messaging. The visit is being closely monitored by the authorities and further security measures may be taken if needed.
