Over 3,000 SHG women in Andhra Pradesh will rise to the challenge to eradicate poverty by operating 700 Trupti canteens across the state, with each woman aiming to earn 30,000 rupees per month.
Dr. Ponguru Narayana, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, inaugurated the first Trupti Canteen at Atmakur Bus Stand Centre in Nellore. This programme has been launched by the state government to turn poor women into entrepreneurs, providing them with an opportunity to improve their living standards and boost their incomes.
These canteens, according to the Minister, provide a platform for SHG women to display their talents and contribute to the local economy. The first Trupti Canteen in the state was opened in Nellore as part of the Smart Street Programme, in collaboration with the Sara Project and four MEPMA women.
The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has placed a strong emphasis on turning poor women into entrepreneurs, creating an opportunity for them to improve their lives and become self-reliant.
This programme is an excellent opportunity for women in poverty to become entrepreneurs and improve their families' well-being. It is also an essential step towards achieving financial equality and sustainable development.
So, with the opening of this new canteen in Nellore, many poor women will soon become entrepreneurs, challenging the gender wealth gap and poverty.
