Narcotic Drugs Destroyed in Cyberabad Initiative

Cyberabad Police in Hyderabad have launched a sweeping initiative to destroy 2,380 kg of confiscated narcotics, as part of a nationwide effort to combat drug abuse.

The destroyed drugs included marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy, among others. The value of the destroyed narcotics was an estimated Rs. 2 billion ($26.5 million).

Speaking at the destruction ceremony, Ramnagar Police Commissioner Vineet Brijal said the initiative was a powerful message to safeguard the citizens, particularly the youth, from the perils of drug abuse and to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in reducing drug trafficking.

He emphasized that the Cyberabad police would continue to work tirelessly to protect the community and create a safe and healthy environment.

The destruction of these drugs comes as part of an ongoing drive to combat drug abuse and prevent illicit trade in narcotics across the country.

Since the initiative was launched nationwide in June, over 27,000 kg of confiscated drugs have been destroyed, sending a clear message about the authorities' commitment to tackling this issue.

With this latest destruction, the Cyberabad police force has worked aggressively to clean up the community and create a safer and healthier environment for its citizens.
