Recently, three young men attempted to kidnap a woman in broad daylight near a busy intersection. Sadly, authorities failed to arrest the perpetrators, showing how these crimes are going unchecked.

Such incidents have been reported increasingly in the Ajit Road area, which has many coaching institutes and is a hub for education. Moreover, a group of four young men chased two girl students on foot, harassing them and making lewd comments, even though there are police personnel deployed nearby.

A girl filed a complaint with the police that she was driving with a friend when four men in a car made indecent gestures at them. Such incidents often go unreported due to social stigma or because the victims live far from their families and fear for their security.

However, SSP Naveen Singla insists that strict action is being taken against all those involved in eve-teasing.

"We will not spare anyone, no matter what," he asserts.
