Narcotics Bust: Rs 22.75L Worth of Ganja Seized, Four Peddlers Arrested

In a recent crackdown, Hyderabad's EAGLE forces apprehended four individuals trafficking narcotics. The group was transporting 91 kg of ganja worth Rs 22.75 Lakh, intended for distribution in Pune, Maharashtra. The arrestees, Prakash Chandra Pradhan, Basanta Badatya, Ghanshyam Badatya, and Chitrasena Jani, all from Ganjam District, Odisha, were transporting the drugs via train in AC coaches. They were charged Rs 10,000 for each consignment delivered and had trafficked over 20 times in the last year. The drugs were concealed in trolleys and backpacks to evade detection. The main supplier, Prashanth, and two receivers, Sai Ram and Mommy, are still at large.

Trafficking drugs through trains requires extensive planning and coordination. These four individuals were just a tiny part of a large network of suppliers and couriers. It's frightening to think about how many other people are potentially involved in this illegal trade.

This recent bust highlights just how prevalent and severe the drug problem is in our society. Law enforcement agencies must continue to investigate and crack down on these networks to keep our communities safe.

It is also vital to spread awareness and educate people, especially youth, about the dangers of drugs. We must do everything we can to support people in need who are battling addiction and support law enforcement in their efforts to stop the illicit drug trade.

It is imperative to dismantle the network behind this operation to eliminate such illicit activities and protect the vulnerable.

Remember, if you have any information regarding this crime or any other illegal activities, you can contact the police anonymously. Together, we can build a safer and healthier society.
