According to recently published statistics, there has been a concerning rise in overall crime in Cyberabad, with an increase of 6.71% from 2022 to 2023. While there has been a 3% uptick in property loss cases, with an estimated Rs 24.9 crore in such cases reported in 2023, the Cyberabad police have managed to achieve a 71.95% recovery rate in these instances.

The silver lining amidst these statistics is that there has been a significant reduction in crime against women and rape cases. Rape cases have fallen from 316 in 2022 to 259 in 2023, while crimes against women as a whole have dipped by 5.34%.

However, there is an increase in kidnapping cases, with 616 cases reported in 2023, showcasing the darker side of these statistics. When examining the trend in kidnapping cases, it's noted that the perpetrators are often known to the victims, with few cases involving strangers.

These findings highlight the crucial and ongoing work of law enforcement in keeping the population safe and bringing perpetrators to justice.
