Recently, a 17-year-old Libyan youth was arrested for raping a 32-year-old Ukrainian woman near the Eiffel Tower. After the assault, the victim reportedly managed to escape and flag down a taxi who took her to a hospital where she filed a complaint against the assailant.

Police arrested Hamid later that day, charging him with rape within the context of a sex assault.
