The race for the post of TDP district president in Nellore is intensifying, with several second-run leaders vying for the position. Previously, the party had unanimously elected senior leader and Nellore Parliament incharge Sheik Abdul Aziz as party district president. However, with the party's success in winning all 10 assembly segments and the Nellore MP seat with a significant majority, several leaders are eager to secure the prestigious post.

Various ministers, MLAs, and MPs from their respective constituencies back several aspirants from the Reddy community. Current party district president Shiek Abdul Aziz, TDP Nellore rural incharge Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, brother Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Party State Vice President Chejerla Venkateswara Reddy, Pellakuru Srinivasulu Reddy, Vemireddy Pattabhirami Reddy, and former ZP Chairman Chenchalababu Yadav are all in the running.

The party's high command has sent a three-member committee, including Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani, and Arya Vysya Corporation Chairman D Prasad, to Nellore to collect opinions from party cadres at the constituency level. During the general meeting, the committee accepted representations from aspirants and collected opinions from party functionaries to submit a detailed report to the party supreme and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for a final decision.
