Social Innovation Lab Announces 29 Selected Startups

The Social Innovation Lab by Citi, an incubator focused on nurturing startups with significant social impact, has unveiled its latest cohort of 29 promising ventures. These startups, selected from diverse sectors including agritech, fintech, and healthtech, represent the next wave of innovation aimed at addressing pressing societal challenges.

This initiative is a collaborative effort involving Citi, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, and T-Hub, a premier innovation hub. The selection process was rigorous, ensuring that only the most impactful and scalable solutions were chosen. The chosen startups will collectively receive grants amounting to ₹3.5 crores, along with tailored mentorship and access to a network of industry experts, investors, and peers.

The inclusion of agritech startups underscores the Lab’s commitment to transforming India’s agricultural landscape through technology-driven solutions. These ventures are working on projects such as precision farming, supply chain optimization, and sustainable farming practices. Similarly, the selected fintech startups aim to bridge gaps in financial inclusion, developing innovative tools to bring banking and financial services to underserved populations. Healthtech ventures in the cohort are focused on enhancing access to quality healthcare, leveraging technology to provide affordable and efficient solutions for diagnostics, telemedicine, and patient management.

In addition to financial grants, the Social Innovation Lab provides these startups with a robust platform to refine their business models, pilot their solutions, and scale operations. Through mentorship programs and industry exposure, the initiative empowers entrepreneurs to turn their visions into tangible impact.

By supporting these ventures, the Social Innovation Lab reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation that not only drives economic growth but also addresses critical social challenges, paving the way for a more equitable and sustainable future.
