As floods continued to devastate several districts of Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials on Thursday to conduct a quick damage assessment and provide compensation without delay. Rescue and relief operations must remain a top priority, he told collectors, urging them to act on even minor distress calls and start repairing damaged roads, culverts, and critical infrastructure. "It is the responsibility of the administration to ensure people's safety," the CM told officials, emphasizing the need for long-term solutions, such as constructing high-level bridges in flood-prone areas. He also told officials to record crop losses through video and photography for accurate assessments and urged farmers to use nano urea to prevent shortages.

The CM's helicopter was unable to land in Kamareddy due to rough weather, forcing him to transfer his meeting with district officials to the Medak district superintendent of police's office. Collectors updated him on relief efforts in Medak, Kamareddy, and neighboring districts, and officials displayed area damage photographs.

Chief Secretary K. Rama Krishna Rao, who later conducted a teleconference with senior officials, demanded rapid restoration of damaged roads, tanks, and power lines. Ex-gratia will be provided to those who died, he added.
