AP govt disbursed 4.2 crore to 381 families in Atmakur through CMRF in one year

Andhra Pradesh's government under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has provided financial aid of 4.2 crore rupees to 381 families in the Atmakur constituency through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) in the last year alone, according to the state's Endowment minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. Cheques worth 83.34 lakh were distributed to 100 beneficiaries in the constituency on Thursday, with the minister stating that the chief minister had provided such financial assistance to families facing difficulties due to medical treatment for a variety of illnesses. Stating that the NDA government was spending crores of rupees through the CMRF in all constituencies, Reddy claimed that no one would have to face any financial hardship.

In response to recent increasing water levels at the main reservoirs in the district, the minister claimed that effective water management initiatives had resulted in abundant water reserves, with 6 lakh acres irrigated for the first crop and 4 lakh acres for the second crop. He further added that the Somasila and Telugu Ganga projects still had surplus water.

Looking forward, the minister stated that the Chief Minister was working on a plan to link the Krishna, Godavari, and Penna rivers to make the state fertile, which would cost 84,000 crore. He further claimed that the Polavaram project would be completed soon with the support of the Central government, and that the Banakacherla project would also soon be put into use.

He concluded by stating that the government was working to provide abundant water to future generations.
