headline: Minister Narayana Investigates NUDA Irregularities and Revives Drinking Water Scheme in Nellore

Minister Ponguru Narayana recently inaugurated the NTR Sujala safe drinking water scheme in Nellore, which had been left neglected by the previous government. Narayana addressed concerns raised by MLAs about alleged financial and administrative irregularities in the Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA), and announced a probe into the matter.

Regarding the drinking water scheme, Narayana claimed that the previous government had left the project unfinished, causing inconvenience to residents. He stated that the current government has revived the scheme, adding that 10 plants have already been commissioned, 4 are ready for use, and 20 more are in progress, promising that all plants will be completed within the next 2-3 months.

Regarding the alleged irregularities, Narayana stressed that the current government would take strict action based on the findings of the investigations. He added that funds collected under the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) should be used for developing the respective constituencies.

MLAs Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Kavya Krishna Reddy, and Inturi Nageswara Rao raised concerns about encroachments, misuse of funds, and lapses in urban development projects under the previous government. Narayana assured that the inquiries would lead to strong action and that the government would take every measure to prevent encroachments on government lands.
