Launched during a virtual meeting chaired by Dr. Jitender, Director-General of Police (DGP) in Telangana, this initiative aims to enhance citizen feedback on interactions with police services with the use of QR codes. It is believed that this move will strengthen accountability, transparency, and public satisfaction with the police services.
Citizens can give their feedback on key services including petition submissions, FIR registrations, traffic violation e-challans, and passport verification, to name a few. Telangana police also plan to collect feedback through outbound calls made via the Citizen Feedback Call Centre, managed by the Centre of Excellence (CoE)-CID.
Initial posters promoting the initiative have been distributed across all police stations and offices to encourage participation, and officers have been tasked with promoting the initiative extensively through print, electronic, and social media channels.
Ultimately, the force is encouraging public feedback on how to improve its service to the citizens of Telangana.
