BSF Narcotics Bust

Border Security Force (BSF) seized narcotics weighing 50 kg, valued at over Rs 75 crore on the black market, in a joint operation with the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Excise and Narcotics Department of Mizoram. The drugs were concealed in a truck en route to Champhai from Aizawl.

Last week, on August 21st, the BSF intercepted four suspicious vehicles on the Aizawl-Champhai National Highway. Eight individuals were arrested in connection to the drug trafficking operation, marking the BSF's success in disrupting the activities of an international racket. This achievement underscores the importance of interagency cooperation in combating drug trafficking and protecting vulnerable communities.

The BSF's successful operation is a testament to the effectiveness of India's security and enforcement agencies in combating narcotics smuggling. The seizure of illicit drugs, worth over Rs 75 crore, has prevented them from reaching the streets and inflicting harm and destruction to the country's youth.

The BSF's unwavering commitment to the war on drugs, in collaboration with sister agencies, sends a strong message to criminal elements involved in narcotics trafficking. The vigilant border guarding force will continue to collaborate seamlessly with other enforcement agencies to deliver more effective blows against such unlawful and dangerous activities.
