The Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Gajarao Bhupal recently chaired a coordination meeting focusing on ways to ease traffic congestion around local schools. Attending the meeting were school principals and management representatives from across the city.

One of the key recommendations was encouraging students to utilize school buses instead of private cars, reducing traffic during peak hours. The importance of planning bus routes was also emphasized to prevent multiple buses from converging on the same roads, a frequent cause of traffic bottlenecks.

To further ease congestion, police suggested staggering school timings so that students disperse organically without all schools releasing students at once. Parents were also urged to limit private vehicles, carpool, and participate in traffic management awareness programs.

Ensuring the safety of schoolchildren was another critical area of focus. The police emphasized the need for regular breathalyser tests of bus drivers and conductors and assured that traffic personnel would provide assistance by regulating the movement of school buses during peak hours and assisting with signal lighting.

The meeting was attended by Madhapur Traffic DCP Sai Manohar, ACP Chandrashekar Reddy, Society for Cyberabad Security Council CEO Naved Khan and representatives from several leading institutions, including Sancta Maria International School, Delhi Public School (Nanakramguda), Oakridge International School, Chirec International School, Meridian School, NASR School, Sreenidhi International School, Birla Open Minds International School, Phoenix Greens International School, Pallavi International School, Sriram International School, and others.
