As many as 339 development works will be inaugurated in Nellore rural assembly constituency on May 15, according to an official statement. The development works, totaling INR 589 crore, cover drinking water, electrification, and road infrastructure, among other projects.

The event will be attended by Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Youth Advancement of Andhra Pradesh, Roja Selvamani, and Minister for Water Resources P. Anil Kumar Yadav.

"The works include drinking water schemes, road development, electrification works, laying of CC roads and drains in gram panchayats, and other rural development works," said a statement from the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

The move comes as part of the state government's efforts to streamline rural development and stimulate economic activity in the region.

"The works would be completed within a year and would benefit about 2.8 lakh people in 154 villages," the statement added.
