Hyderabad Police have recently been keeping tabs on urban spaces and taking action against those who display inappropriate public behavior. This has particularly targeted women who are subjected to gawking and harassment on the streets.

This action comes as a proactive measure to uphold ethical and respectful behavior in public spaces. The Hyderabad Police's SHE Team conducted operations that led to the identification and legal action towards individuals, including women, found offending public decency.

According to the official statement, a total of 12 individuals were convicted under Section 70 (b) of the CP Act, each paying a fine of Rs 50 for their inappropriate conduct. Moreover, the press release also added that the collected video evidence has been instrumental in recognizing and prosecuting offenders.

As a continuation of these efforts, the authorities have also convicted two individuals for aggravated offenses under Section 70(B) 290IPC 188 CP act, fined Rs 1250 each. These proactive operations by the SHE Team uphold the law respecting public morality, dignity, and well-being. The actions send a message to safeguard ethics in public spaces and respect individuals' privacy and security.
