Thousands of women in Nellore took to the streets in a Stree Shakti rally to express their gratitude to the state's chief minister and showcase their support for his flagship policies, collectively calling them the "Super Six" schemes. The rally, started as a means to thank the CM for enhanced pensions, witnessed a whopping number of attendees, with many carrying posters and raising slogans in praise of the Annadata Sukhibhava farmer support, Talli Ki Vandhanam cash transfers to mothers, free annual LPG cylinders, Stree Shakti free bus travel for women, and the Mega DSC teacher recruitment initiatives.
The massive turnout of women, according to Minister P. Narayana, is a clear indication of the public's trust in the state government. He highlighted the previous government's failures, stating that projects worth 960 crores related to drinking water and underground drainage stalled under the previous regime are now back on track, with an additional 165 crores sanctioned. He assured that the projects would be completed within the next year.
Ponguru Ramadevi and T. Anuradha, also leaders who attended the rally, praised the CM for implementing the promises despite financial constraints and expressed skepticism about the capacity of the previous government, citing mismanagement and leaving the state in debt.
The women corporators and participants encouraged the state government to continue working for the public good and pledged their continued support.
