Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, the former Vice President of India, has alleged that certain sections of society, supported by opposition parties, are envious of the rapid development that India is undergoing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that previous governments faced challenges such as border issues, economic instability, and threats to sovereignty, but the current government has successfully addressed these issues and established a sense of security in the country.
Speaking at a event, Naidu praised the BJP district unit for their initiative in organizing the Ganesh festival for the past four decades, and urged them to continue the tradition, as per the wishes of Bala Gangadhar Tilak, to promote unity among the Hindu community. He also expressed concern over the decline of the Telugu language and urged cultural organizations to play a more active role in its promotion at the grassroots level.
The event was attended by Padmasree Award winner Acharya K Inak, TSS district president Kancharla Sunna Naidu, BJP leaders Surendra Reddy, KV Subrahmanyam, Satya Narayana Rao, and others.
