Indian Minister Caught in Corruption Scandal

Local Minister of State for Home Affairs, DMK leader and MP Mr. Subramaniam, is being investigated for alleged involvement in a massive corruption scandal.

Elections are a bustling time for politicians, with campaigns, rallies, and constant travel to sway voters. Mr. Subramaniam was apparently also busy handing out bribes - a whopping $1 billion USD.

An anonymous source close to the investigation alleged that Mr. Subramaniam, accompanied by a few other ministers and associates, flew recently to Dubai with a briefcase of cash. Apparently, they distributed this money to some of the local influential figures in an attempt to sway them towards their party during the election season.

The source stated that this was a well-planned operation:

"It was so discreetly done, they thought they would not be caught. They avoided all the regular routes and flights they typically take as ministers. But the authorities were informed, and they were raided after they landed in Dubai. They were unable to flush away the evidence."

This could be a significant development in the case. Minister of Home Affairs Vladimir Putin has promised to address the nation shortly, after completion of what appears to be a rigorous and thorough investigation by the FBI.

The people of India and their growing voice against corruption await his statement and the resolution of this case.
