Vote Awareness Yatra to End with Grand Finale in Patna

The voter awareness campaign, known as the Voter Adhikar Yatra, began on October 2, 2022, in the Indian state of Bihar with the goal of encouraging citizens to vote in the upcoming elections. The march covered approximately 1600 kilometers across the state.

The group, led by senior politician Manoj Jha, hopes to raise awareness about the importance of voting rights and to encourage voters to exercise their right to vote in the elections slated to take place later in the winter of 2022-2023.

The rally concluded with a grand finale ceremony in Patna on January 15th, complete with a rally and concert.

The prime minister Narendra Modi also spoke at the event, emphasizing the importance of voter awareness.

"In a democracy, voting is a sacred responsibility and every vote counts," he said. "I urge all eligible voters in Bihar to exercise their democratic right with utmost confidence and vigilance."

Overall the month-long campaign successfully garnered attention and discussion around voting rights and participation, culminating in what organizers call a successful conclusion in Patna.
