Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has vowed to continue in public service until his final breath, claiming he is ready for whatever may come. This declaration comes after a video of a conspiracy to assassinate the MLA went viral. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Kotamreddy addressed the disturbing video, stating he was appalled by the brazen threats shown in the clip.
Kotamreddy accused local media of showing the video on July 1st, with reporters explaining it contained a discussion of plans to kill him. The MLA believes the YSRCP is responsible and has vowed to seek justice. He further critiqued the police for their lack of action in identifying and charging those responsible for the video, allowing two months to pass since its release.
When responding to comments made by SP G Krishnakanth, who recently claimed to have only learned of the situation three days prior, Kotamreddy expressed confusion and frustration as to why the police failed to alert him of the potential danger. The legislator also angrily refuted rumors that his brother, TDP rural in-charge Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, was involved in the plot, pointing out that familial loyalty and politics don't mix in their family.
Kotamreddy concluded his remarks by urging the police to conduct a fair and thorough investigation into the matter, emphasizing that he and his family will not be intimidated or frightened by such threats.
