Delhi Premier League, organised by the DDCA, is getting appreciation from all corners of the country. Former player and MP Gautam Gambhir, who has previously been associated with Delhi cricket, has showered praise on the tournament.
"Delhi has so much to offer to India in terms of talent and passion for the sport. It's a sheer delight to watch such an amazing tournament, where cricket as a sport grows exponentially. Who needs to go to Rajasthan or Mumbai to spot talent when they are thriving in Delhi," said Gambhir.
Delhi Premier League has seen the rise of upcoming stars like Arpit Rana, Yash Dhull, Nitish Rana, and Money Grewal who have shined on the cricket field. With the elevation of cricket, the competition is also becoming tough, with the next emerging players are trying to secure their spot on the team.
"I have full faith in the DDCA management and they are doing a wonderful job with this tournament, and giving opportunities to the younger lot. Looking at the tournament from a broader perspective, it is a step ahead for Indian cricket," he concluded.
The former Indian opener is thrilled to see the next wave of players emerging despite the lack of exposure compared to other states.
