Nellore District Judge Gokavarapu Srinivas recently spoke at the 10th Revenue Sports and Cultural Meet at Anam Chenchu Subba Reddy Stadium in Nellore city. The judge emphasized the crucial role of the revenue department in society. He noted that the department is responsible for issuing pattas, land acquisition, and conducting the population Census.

He also highlighted the unrecognized work of revenue employees during natural calamities and the Covid-19 pandemic, responsible for saving many lives. He urged authorities to consider organizing such events to help reduce the mental and physical stress experienced by these employees.

Collectuer O Anand, who also attended the event, stated that he had previously participated in similar events while serving as Collector of East and West Godavari districts. He expressed delight in partaking for the third time in a sports and cultural meet.

He encouraged employees to participate in games, sports, and exercise at least three times a week to maintain better health.

The event was attended by Joint Collector Kollabathula Karthik, DRO Hussain, RDOs Anusha, and Vamsi Krishna, among others.
